Boutique Hotel St Albans

A sensitive interior renovation of a Grade II* listed Georgian hotel in St Albans. Flippa Interiors was hired to renovate selected bedrooms, suites and public spaces. Our brief was to balance the hotel’s historic architecture whilst creating a boutique hotel feel with contemporary, residential-style comfort.  

We designed each space individually, allowing rooms to develop their own identity while maintaining a visually cohesive scheme. Period features and generous proportions informed our design, layered with tactile fabrics and carefully considered colour palettes which create the refined, comfortable interiors.

Public areas were treated with the same care and restraint, introducing contemporary elements that would sit comfortably in their historic setting. Throughout the project, materials were specially selected for both style and durability, ensuring the hotel’s interiors perform well within the demands of a luxury hospitality environment without feeling in any way commercial.

The result is a refreshed boutique hotel that feels elegant, welcoming and distinctly residential in tone - offering guests a calm, characterful alternative to uniform hotel interiors.
