The Art of the Modern Hub

A bespoke kitchen and dining renovation designed around open-plan living, combining tailored joinery, thoughtful zoning and a refined colour palette to create a light, functional space for family life and entertaining.

The brief was to create a sense of openness without losing comfort or definition, avoiding the emptiness that open-plan rooms can sometimes inadvertently create.

A deep navy was chosen for the cabinetry to give the space structure and character, balanced with light worktops and a neutral backdrop to maintain a bright, airy feel. Natural light plays a key role adding warmth throughout the day.

The dining area is anchored by a custom-made banquette, designed to create a sense of intimacy and cosiness within the larger space. Built precisely to fit the space, it offers a more relaxed and generous way of dining and has become a natural place for lingering, conversation and everyday use.

An island, carefully proportioned to the space, provides additional preparation space and relaxed, informal seating without interrupting movement or sightlines.

Throughout the scheme, materials, proportions and transitions were carefully considered to ensure each area feels connected while clearly zoned. The result is a kitchen and dining space that works hard, feels comfortable, and supports the rhythm of daily life.
