Oxfordshire Boutique Airbnb
Project completed: 2019 | Location: Wallingford, Oxfordshire | Project type: Boutique Airbnb interior design
Our client purchased a Victorian property in Wallingford, Oxfordshire and wanted to create a boutique Airbnb that would maintain high occupancy through considered interior design.
The brief was to deliver interiors that would withstand the wear of multiple guests, stand out from other holiday lets, and draw inspiration from famous crime writer Agatha Christie who had lived in the town for over 40 years.
The Concept
We developed a scheme using deep greens, navy blues and brass accents reminiscent of the art deco period. The approach was layered and subtle - creating atmosphere without limiting appeal or making maintenance difficult.
The living room centres on an art deco feature wall and emerald sofa, with styled shelving that balances decoration with function. Each bedroom was given distinct character: one using cool greys and geometric navy wallpaper, the other warmer tones with vintage details. The kitchen and bathroom prioritise durability alongside aesthetics, using dark cabinetry, brass fixtures and subway tiling.
We managed the full project from interior design and space planning through to procurement, installation and styling – handing the property back ready for the first paying guest. The property now operates at high occupancy and has achieved Airbnb Superhost status.
