Although set in one of Henley’s most prestigious locations just minutes from the river, the apartment itself was very dated when bought, with worn flooring, bland finishes and outdated kitchen and bathroom in need of complete replacement. We were appointed to manage the full renovation and furnishing for our client whilst he was in South Africa, delivering a cohesive interior that felt warm, grounded and was ready to use from day one.
A palette of warm creams, burnt orange and rich browns runs throughout, creating a calm palette which gives the apartment an anchoring atmosphere. In the main living space, furnishings were chosen for comfort as much as style, allowing the room to work equally well for relaxed evenings or informal entertaining. Decorative acoustic wall panels add texture and depth while also improving sound, bringing a sense of cohesion to the scheme.
The principal bedroom was designed as a true retreat and to provide the owner with a good night’s sleep. Here, layered textiles, warm, rich tones and acoustic panels were again used as a design feature, warming the space visually, and practically reinforcing the sense of quiet enclosure.
Throughout the apartment, thoughtful layouts, discreet storage and attention to detailing ensures the home feels complete rather than temporary - a place to arrive, settle in and switch off.
